For many people across Pershore and the surrounding villages, loneliness isn't a once-a-year problem - it's a daily reality.
A quiet house. An empty diary. Days that pass without a single conversation. At Pershore Plus Volunteer Centre, we see the difference that just one afternoon of company and connection can make, and it's why our calendar of monthly events is at the very heart of what we do.
Our monthly day trips are proving more popular than ever!
Our monthly outings give local residents something to look forward to. Whether it’s a much needed change of scenery, simply getting out for some fresh air or the chance to share the day with familiar, friendly faces, everyone always says the same thing and that’s how much they enjoyed the trip!

Monday 16 November Birmingham Christmas Market
We're kicking off the festive season early with a day trip to soak up the lights, stalls and Christmas cheer in Birmingham.

We're rounding off the year in style, taking local residents to enjoy the magic of Bath's Christmas market.
These trips are about far more than the destination. For someone who might otherwise spend the day alone, it's the coach journey chatting with new friends, the shared cup of tea and the simple joy of being included that really matters.
It doesn't stop at day trips...
Our day trips sit alongside a full programme of regular events designed to bring people together throughout the month.
Fortnightly Lunch Club - a warm meal and warmer company, every other week at St. Andrews Hall in Pershore.
Monthly Craft Group - held at Pershore Plus Volunteer Centre itself, our craft group offers local residents the chance to enjoy spending time in a relaxed, sociable space whilst getting creative and chatting!
Lunch at The Angel Hotel, Pershore - a lovely monthly outing for those who enjoy a proper sit-down meal in good company.
Each of these events plays its part in tackling social isolation by helping people who are feeling lonely, isolated, or simply missing regular human contact to reconnect with their community.
