Nominations now open for the INSPIRE Awards 2026
Celebrating the volunteers who make our community stronger
Pershore Plus Volunteer Centre is delighted to announce that nominations are now open for the INSPIRE Awards 2026, taking place on Friday 9 October 2026.
Following the success of previous years, the INSPIRE Awards will once again shine a spotlight on the incredible volunteers, fundraisers and community champions who dedicate their time, energy and passion to making Pershore and the surrounding area a better place to live. The awards provide an opportunity to recognise those often-unsung heroes whose efforts help tackle loneliness, strengthen communities and improve the lives of local people every day.
Award Categories
Like previous years, we have five categories to submit nominations for. Whether it's an individual who has volunteered for decades, a young person making a difference in their community or a team working together to create lasting change, we want to hear more about their stories and the reasons why you believe they should be nominated.
Long Service Award
The Long Service Award recognises individuals who have demonstrated unwavering dedication and commitment through many years of volunteer service in the Pershore area.
This award celebrates volunteers whose loyalty, leadership and continued support have made a lasting impact on both their organisation and the wider community. Their sustained commitment serves as an inspiration to others and highlights the vital role long-term volunteers play in community life.
Young Volunteer Award
The Young Volunteer Award celebrates the outstanding contribution of a young person who has shown exceptional dedication, enthusiasm and leadership through volunteering.
Nominees will have demonstrated initiative, responsibility and a genuine desire to help others, making a positive impact while inspiring their peers through their commitment and passion.
Fundraiser of the Year
This award recognises an individual or team that has shown outstanding creativity, determination and success in raising funds for a worthy cause.
Whether through events, campaigns or innovative fundraising initiatives, nominees will have made a significant contribution to supporting the financial sustainability and future success of an organisation or project.
Special Achievement Award
The Special Achievement Award honours a volunteer who has gone above and beyond expectations to make an extraordinary contribution.
This may include delivering an exceptional project, overcoming significant challenges, or creating a lasting legacy through their volunteer work. It celebrates those whose dedication and perseverance have made a truly transformative difference.
Volunteer Team of the Year
The Volunteer Team of the Year Award recognises a group of volunteers who have worked together to achieve exceptional results.
Nominees will have demonstrated outstanding teamwork, collaboration and commitment, showing how collective effort can create meaningful and lasting change within the community.

After the success of the previous two years, Pershore Plus Volunteer Centre is delighted to launch the third annual INSPIRE Awards, shining a spotlight on those whose dedication, commitment and selflessness inspire us all.
Do you know someone who goes above and beyond for others? Perhaps you know of a volunteer who consistently makes a positive difference, a community group that brings people together, or a team whose efforts have transformed lives in our local area. If so, now is the perfect time to acknowledge their achievements and give them the recognition they deserve.
This year our awards ceremony will take place on Friday 9 October 2026 at The Banking Hall in Pershore, bringing together volunteers, community organisations, supporters and local residents for an evening of celebration and appreciation. It’s a chance to reflect on the outstanding contributions made across our community and honour those who embody the true spirit of volunteering.
